Richard & Sue Shaw
Ground Crew |
Richard & Sue will be managing the ground crew running both the Retrieval and Base Camp vehicles.
With their vast amount of knowledge of all things Paramotoring the whole TGPPG team will feel secure with
them in charge on the ground. Jamie and Edi
Sue (my wife) and I are pleased to have been invited on the trip of a lifetime, one that will rival the feats of the early pioneering aviators.
I finally accomplished my dream of flying when I took to the air as a paragliding pilot in 2002 and then moving on to paramotors only a year later.
In 2007 I took up a post on the National UK paramotor competitions committee as secretary. The committee oversees the running of UK competitions, training and selection of the British squad entering into international events. In the last two World Championships the British team has won silver medals in China, 2007 and in the Czech Republic in 2009 with Michel Carnet also winning an

an individual gold place. In 2008 on one of our other trips Sue and I travelled
to Basse-Ham in France where I took to the skies in the World record flight of the most paramotor pilots in the air at any one time. Out of more than 500 pilots who turned up from all over the world, 327 pilots managed to be part of the record.
Once again Sue and I are proud to be part of the TGPPG team as ground crew and I hope to be able
to get some truly memorable flying in along the way. Richard & Sue |
